Year 2: Speaker series welcomes Old Boy on Oct. 18
A new element has been added to the career studies course for Grade 9 students, allowing them to hear stories and learn lessons from Old Boys. The next speaker in the series will be Gord Cheesbrough ’01, son of former UCC board chair Gordon Cheesbrough ’71 and brother of UCC development co-ordinator and campaign assistant Sarah Cheesbrough. His 20-minute talk on Tuesday, Oct. 18 will revolve around how he started working in advertising before deciding to switch things up and follow in his father’s footsteps in the world of finance. He’ll concentrate on the life lesson learned, i.e. making a change for your happiness, even if it means adding extra years to attain your career success.
