Year 12 | At-a-glance

All Year 12 students must update their Naviance account indicating the outcome of your applications (conditional acceptance, deferred, waitlisted, denied). Please use the edit function (pencil icon).

It’s important that you review the checklist on each university applicant portal to ensure there are no outstanding items that need to be sent.


University of Toronto Residence Deadline – March 31

Residence is guaranteed for all new full-time students entering their first year of university in an undergraduate program for the first time, provided that they have indicated their interest in residence by completing the StarRez Portal application by March 31 and receive and accept an offer of admission by June 1.

If you miss the March 31 deadline, you can still apply to be on the wait list. Students must respond to all deadlines and meet all deposit requirements in order to maintain their eligibility.


Self-Nominated Entrance Scholarships

Ryerson University
As an incoming student to the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science, you will be automatically considered for many scholarships based on your admission average. However, you may also apply for additional scholarships here.

Students that have applied to the Ted Rogers School of Management will find additional scholarship opportunities here.

You must apply through AwardSpring by April 1.

University of Waterloo
Several scholarships, ranging in value from $1,000 to $5,000, are available to Shad Valley alumni who are entering the first year of an undergraduate program in any faculty at the University of Waterloo. Values and selection criterion vary by faculty.

Interested students must complete the University of Waterloo Shad Alumni Scholarship Consideration form by April 1 on the Shad Valley website.

Trent University 
Any Canadian student entering their first year at Trent with a final admission average of 80% or higher may apply for a Trent University Prestigious scholarship. The prestigious scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study.

The deadline to apply is April 1 and the application form can be found on your myTrent applicant portal under the My Account tab.
