Y2: Norval’s “Amazing Race” runs on Sept. 15
The senior house advisers and Norval faculty and staff are pleased to welcome new Y2 boys to the College and integrate them with returning Y2 boys in an exciting new house-based program. It’s designed to connect Y2 boys through a series of fun activities such as navigating through the woods, finding their way around road blocks and solving brain-teasing puzzles. These are just a few of the challenges the Y2 boys will face on Thursday, Sept. 15 when they join in Norval’s Amazing Race.
Together with a small group of boys from their house, the Y2 students will spend the day racing around Norval, completing challenging tasks and looking for clues that will send them on their way. Each team hopes to be the first to “reach the mat.”
More details will follow in the parental consent form Y2 parents will receive soon by email. Please read it carefully and follow the instructions to give consent for this mandatory program. Note there will be no academic program for Y2 boys at the main campus on this day.
As a brief summary, all Y2 boys should meet at the north entrance at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15. Lunch will be provided at Norval and they will be back by 3 p.m. The Amazing Race will happen rain or shine, so make sure you dress for the weather.
