Vital Instructions for Cambridge Applicants
While Oxford no longer requires the submission of an additional application form, Cambridge still does.
All students attending secondary school outside the EU must fill out the Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA) available here. The completed form must be received by Cambridge before the October 15 deadline. There is an overseas application fee of 30 pounds. On this form, you will indicate whether you would like to be interviewed in Canada or in the UK; if you choose to be interviewed in Canada, you must pay a fee of 130 pounds.
You must also complete a Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ). Cambridge will send you an email with instructions after they receive your UCAS application; the form must generally be submitted by October 22. More details are available here. You will need to record your COPA Reference Number and your UCAS Personal ID number on the SAQ.
A digital passport-sized photo is required for both the COPA and the SAQ. If you do not have such a photograph, please arrange one as soon as possible.
Students planning to apply for the Blyth Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholarship are reminded that financial need is a component of the assessment process. Your UCAS application and COPA must be submitted on time. In addition, all parts of the scholarship application (including transcripts, your most recent report card, a photo, proof of Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status, an essay, and two letters of reference) must be received by the scholarship committee at Blyth before October 15.
