Varsity baseball vs. Crescent School
The varsity baseball team hosted Crescent School for an exhibition game on Monday, May 15. Catching for the Blues was Wedd’s senior, Colby Muise, from Yarmouth, N.S. Colby starred as the varsity hockey goalie during the winter term, and a year ago during his first term at UCC, Colby also tried his hand at varsity football. It was Colby’s level of commitment to everything UCC that persuaded his fellow Wedd’s boarders to elect him Head of House. It’s hard to believe Colby’s tenure at UCC will soon come to an end. He has proven to be a strong leader and a dedicated participant to the co-curricular program.
As a student, Colby has proven its possible to balance challenging academics with a strong commitment to the UCC co-curricular program. Colby has committed to a gap year following UCC graduation. His goal is to play Junior A hockey next; it’s yet to be decided if the next leg of his journey will take him to Alberta or to another city in Ontario. We look forward to following his athletic and academic career in the years to come. For his remaining time at the College, Colby looks forward to playing varsity baseball. The Blues looked very strong vs. Crescent.
