FRAMES ORDER – 2014-2015 UCC Upper School

I’m co-ordinating the sale of graduation rings and frames for the Class of 2015 on behalf of the Parents Organization and, as the year begins, thought it might be helpful to outline the following:

What are UCC graduation rings?
It’s been a long-standing tradition at the College that men’s signet rings with the UCC crest are made available to IB2 boys and their families. The purchase of these rings is entirely at your discretion and is in no way mandatory. Rings are available in a variety of styles and prices as illustrated in the flyer attached. In addition, cufflinks and tie clips are also available.

Only boys in IB2 are allowed to purchase a graduation ring. They’re not sold to boys until their IB2 year. However, cufflinks and tie clips are available to all.

Where and when are they sold?
Grad rings for the Class of 2015 will be sold on two different occasions:

  1. On September 27, 2014 at A-Day. A table will be set up along the Avenue and orders will be taken for delivery in December. Please have your son with you as you place the order so our ring supplier, Jamie Hodge, can professionally size him. In addition, a credit card number or cheque is required to place an order. Jamie and I will be available at A-Day to take orders between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  2. On December 2 and 3 in the foyer of the Upper School. Jamie Hodge and I will return to the College to measure your son’s ring size and to take his order. Again, he must have a credit card or cheque with him to place an order.

If he orders a ring when will he receive it?
Rings ordered at A-day will be available for pick up at the school on December 2 and 3, 2014. Rings ordered on December 2 and 3 will be available for pick up at the school in late February or early March prior to March Break.

What are UCC graduation frames and where and when are they sold?
UCC graduation frames are made available as part of the inventory of UCC-crested frames available to all members of the UCC community. At the Class Leaving ceremony in May, IB2 boys will receive a UCC diploma, an IB certificate as well as a class photo. If you wish, specially sized UCC frames can be ordered to protect and display these. Furthermore, frames are also available in a variety of styles and sizes to display the boys’ individual graduation photos.

These frames are available throughout the year and I’d be happy to process your order at your convenience. Again, purchase of these frames is entirely at your discretion. Please print off a copy of the attached form and leave it at the Upper School office with payment to my attention. Full payment is required to place an order.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Everson-Irwin
