Student Initiative | Ve’ahavta clothing and supplies drive

Dear UCC community,

The 6C community service group is continuing its Ve’ahavta clothing and supplies drive. This week, we honoured Remembrance Day. Did you know that there are tens of thousands of veterans of war who are experiencing homelessness? These people need your help.

The items that we are collecting and the approximate needs in the volume are:

  • Men’s sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants, jeans, T-shirts, (new) socks, and (new) underwear (>175)
  • Sleeping bags (>25)
  • Winter gloves, hats, and jackets (>50)
  • Razors, deodorant, and hand sanitizer (>50)
  • Hand Warmer pouches (>100)
  • Masks, reusable and disposable (>200)

We hope to collect the items on our list by the end of the drive to reach our goal since some items only last a few days. Students will need to bring the items into the school and can drop off the items in the boxes located at the main reception. If the items are too heavy, please give them to an adult on morning duty.

Thank you for joining our efforts,

Rayka, Eric, Jerry, Rohan, Bruce, Adam and Drew
