Spring inter-school sports teams

The winter season has come to an end and the spring season will begin with tryouts after the March break.

All boys will be informed of their athletic opportunities for the spring term on Monday, March 27. Below is a list of the athletic opportunities by grade level and the team coaches. Tryouts for Gr. 6 and 7 teams will begin on Tuesday March 28th.

Grade 6
U12A softball (approximately 15 players) – Bob Cooper
U12B softball (approximately 15 players) – Martin Cloutier
U12 track and field – John Hustler, Blair Yungblut, Vlad Roytberg
Intramural softball – Sarah Barclay, Gareth Evans, Tina Brunelle, Michaela Trelford

Grade 7
U14 softball – Brian Green
U14 tennis – David Ma
U13 rugby – Anthony Chandler and Reggie Reyes
U14 lacrosse – David Bullock (this team practices in the morning and is comprised of both Grade 7 and Grade 8 boys)
U13 track and field – Peter Labancz, Peter Gray, Vlad Roytberg
Intramural tennis – Kerry Dupuis
Intramural softball – Scott Manning and David Fraser

The purpose of this email is to give you an opportunity to discuss these opportunities with your son and help him make an informed choice. Your son can only play on one representative school team, but has the opportunity to try out for any teams he wishes.

All other information will be available from your son’s coaches. You can expect a commitment letter in Heads Up on Monday, April 3 that outlines the commitment necessary to be a member of the team your son is trying out for, and important information related to the season.
