Special First-Year Programs at St. Francis Xavier University
Students in the Faculty of Arts at St. Francis Xavier University have the option to apply to two special first-year programs: the Humanities Colloquium and the Social Justice Colloquium.
The Humanities Colloquium explores meaning and value in human lives through some of the great books of Western civilization taught in linked sections of English, History, and Philosophy.
Participants in the Social Justice Colloquium are enrolled in dedicated sections of Anthropology, Global History, and Gender Studies. A service learning experience is at the core of the program.
More information about these programs is available here.
