SK-5: Grandparents and Special Friends Day is June 2
Grandparents’ and Special Friends Day for SK through Form 5 is just around the corner on Friday, June 2. Click here to register for the event. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of grandparents’ and special friends.
This is a special day to celebrate grandparents and special friends of the family. Boys are welcome to bring a beloved mentor, parent, uncle, aunt or friend as their “special grandpal.” Invitations have been mailed out to all grandparents and special friends for whom we have an address. If your son’s grandparent or special friend didn’t receive an invitation and would like one, please provide their mailing details to Maria Karakoulas.
12 p.m. Registration opens in the Eaton Building
1 p.m. Concert in Weston Hall
1:45-3 p.m. Classroom activities, school tours and photographs
2:30-3:30 p.m. Tea in the Cruikshank Dining Hall
The Grandparents’ and Special Friends Choir performance will again be a part of the Grandparents’ Day concert. By popular demand, you’ll be singing “Jailhouse Rock” (popularized by Elvis Presley) with the boys in the choir. We’ll rehearse with the boys at 12:15 p.m. on Grandparents’ Day in the choral music room (E022) and then perform at the start of the concert. Kathryn Edmondson will reserve seats at the front for all participants and spouses.
If your grandparent/special friend is interested in participating in the choir, please email or call Kathryn Edmondson at 416-488-1126, ext. 4058 to confirm your attendance and she will send the music to you. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Event Manager Maria Karakoulas at 416-488-1125 ext. 2231 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
