Seaton’s House | Evening hockey

On Monday night Seaton’s boarders enjoyed their first opportunity of the year to skate at the William P. Wilder Arena & Sports Complex.
Several experienced hockey players were making the most of the opportunity to skate, pass and shoot. Varsity forward, Anthony Dicriscio, and goaltender, Coulter Taylor, were getting some early practice in before their first official Varsity team practice on Tuesday afternoon.
At the other end of the rink a heartening scene of house camaraderie played out that typifies one of the strengths of the boarding experience at UCC. In the attached video a new Year 11 student, Hamza Holmes (Houston, Texas) in the red pullover is seen teaching Junyong Park (Seoul, South Korea) how to pass the puck. Also providing assistance in the lesson is Patrick Szente (Montreal, QC).
Providing an opportunity for students to stay physically active continues to be a cornerstone of the boarding experience. Now more than ever boarders are looking to find new and traditional opportunities to stay active while still maintaining distancing protocols.
