Robertson Scholars Program at Duke and UNC, Chapel Hill
The Robertson Scholars Program provides students with access to the resources of two renowned universities—Duke and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. While students matriculate at either Duke or Chapel Hill, they have full privileges at both campuses and switch campuses in the second semester of their sophomore year.
The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, fees, room and board for four years, provides the student with a laptop, and gives access to three summers of generous funding to pursue internships or special projects. Students may study abroad for up to two semesters. Faculties at both colleges provide extensive mentoring.
The Robertson Scholars Program seeks students who have demonstrated the passion and potential to become great leaders in college and beyond. Successful applicants will demonstrate evidence of academic distinction, intellectual curiosity, character, integrity, and an exceptional impact as a leader.
Application information can be found here. The application requires two letters of reference (at least one of which must be an academic one). Please ensure that the referees you choose can answer the questions outlined on the website. Applicants must also write a number of essays.
The deadline to complete the online scholarship application is Saturday, November 15. Students must also submit admission applications to one or both of the universities by the January deadline.
