Remembrance Day at Sunnybrook
On November 11, Class 6C took part in Sunnybrook Hospital’s wreath-laying ceremony marking Remembrance Day. Before starting their official duties in the public ceremony the boys attended a private event for veterans and their families. Despite the cold weather, the boys did a fantastic job, presenting with dignity and respect appropriate to the occasion.
The trip culminated with visits with residents of the hospital. During the visits, the boys learned from the veterans about growing up during the Depression, their time during World War II or the Korean War, and what it was like to begin their lives back at home. Please see photos from the trip here. The boys of 6C will take with them these treasured memories.
