The First World War saw approximately 1,100 Old Boys, staff and faculty enlist with 179 of these giving the ultimate sacrifice: their lives. UCC boarders contributed to a wonderful service on Tuesday, Nov. 11. It paid tribute to UCC veterans who played significant roles in the Great Wars that are well-documented in the books students read in history class.
Students witnessed a staged performance designed by UCC theatre students. It brought to life the student experience at the College during the Great Wars. Many current students also had the opportunity to meet UCC alumni who’ve served Canada in the past and those who serve Canada today in all corners of the world.
