PYP exhibition update and parent information session
In the final year of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Year 5 students engage in the PYP Exhibition. This is a collaborative, student-directed, research-based, action-oriented culminating learning experience in the final year of the PYP. Students lead this inquiry connected to a local or global issue about which they care deeply.
To learn more about the PYP Exhibition process, parents are invited to attend an optional Parent Information Session on Wed, Feb. 26 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the back room of the library. Please RSVP here if you plan to attend.
Recently, Year 5 students created a PYP Exhibition graffiti wall highlighting their top issues connected to the PYP transdisciplinary theme Who We Are and the United Nations goals for sustainable development. Soon, their Exhibition groups will be formed based on students’ interests.
Please note, the majority of the Exhibition work happens at school between our return from March Break and Exhibition Day on Fri, May 8th. As this is a collaborative project, done mostly at school, please keep non-necessary absences to a minimum during the spring term.
Parents, please mark your calendars and plan to attend Exhibition Day on Fri, May 8 between 1-3 p.m.
Should you have any questions about the PYP Exhibition, please speak to your son’s form adviser or Dianne Jojic.
