Program highlights at Dalhousie University
Dalhousie University has launched a number of newer programs that may be of interest to UCC students:
The Fountain School of Performing Arts offers music and theatre students renovated practice and performance spaces and generous scholarships.
The renowned Ocean Sciences program at Dalhousie is now open to undergraduate students as a full major. More information can be found here.
The Medical Sciences program is designed to cater to students interested in a variety of fields related to health care, providing them with an excellent foundation for graduate school or professional programs in medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy. Core science courses are supplemented with specialized training in a number of areas, including preparation for the MCAT. Students who wish to do so can also participate in the Integrated Science Program (DISP) in their first year of study. Last year, we estimated that the mark cut-off for this program was 95%. The Law, Justice, and Society program provides an introduction to the study of law, an overview of the Canadian legal system and an opportunity to examine the role of law in society from the perspectives of different disciplines.
