Prep: Learning grounds update
The start of construction of phase one of the Prep Learning Grounds is well underway. Below is some information posted last week about the renovations. If you’ve not yet had an opportunity to read about this exciting news, I encourage you to take a moment to do so now. You can see the progress during this week (right).
Construction areas will be fenced off and there will be absolutely no access for the duration of the project.
Staging areas will include the visitor parking spots on the loop and the north curb lane of Lonsdale Road.
There’ll be no access to the pathway.
There’ll be no access to the downstairs doors to the Primary cubbie area.
What will this mean?
Students won’t be permitted to walk up or down the drive past the construction site. Anyone walking to the school from the west or south will need to walk along Lonsdale Road to the Mara Gates or, from 8 to 8:30 a.m. only, enter at the Eaton north doors next to the science office.
For those who drop off or pick up off the campus, you won’t be able to do so in front of the Prep on the north side of Lonsdale Road.
The project is due to be completed by the Christmas break. If you’d like to know any more about this exciting project, please come speak with me at any time. I’d be happy to share more details. Thanks in advance for your understanding and patience during the construction.
