Parent-teacher-student interviews

Our first round of interviews will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1 and Friday, Nov. 2 for all students. We encourage all students to attend these interviews with their parents.

In order to help encourage ownership over their own learning  and develop self-advocacy skills, Year 8 and 9 students will be leading their sessions with their parents and teachers.

In preparation for these conferences, students will be asked to complete an academic reflection chart to reflect on their engagement, approaches to learning and performance, and highlight an area for improvement. Student will bring their chart to the interview and use their reflections to begin the conversation about their progress in the presence of their parents.

Year 10, 11 and 12 students have been through the student-led conferences before and are still encouraged to come to attend the interview to discuss their progress with their teacher and parents.

Student-led parent-teacher interviews will be held:
Thursday, Nov. 1 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and;
Friday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.

The Pick a Time Booking Site will be available for you to book your interviews at these times only:
Open: Thursday, Oct. 18 at 9 a.m.
Close: Wednesday, Oct. 31 at noon

Booking student-led, parent-teacher interviews:

We use Pick-a-Time for parent-teacher interview booking. If it’s your first time using the system, you’ll have to create a new ID to access the bookings. Please click here for instructions on how to use Pick-a-Time.

Pick-a-Time will open to all parents at 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 18. The database will close for bookings at noon on Wednesday Oct. 31. We are unable to accommodate online bookings outside of those times. Please ensure that you print your schedule when you’ve finished booking and bring it with you to the interviews. As always, parents are able to email or telephone their son’s adviser to consult on any matter, at other times.

You may also call 416-484-8636, ext. 3323 to reach the help desk between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The help desk is typically busy on the morning that parent-teacher interviews start booking, so please be patient and someone will get back to you in short order.
