Parent consent for Arduino purchase
Year 7 boys have just completed their second unit in design, “Physical Computing: Taking Control.” The focus of the unit was to develop a solution to a problem in their lives using the Arduino and MBlock platforms. The Arduino platform is an open-source electronics platform which allows the user to build electronic projects which incorporate LEDs, sensors and motors. The project is student-designed and individual to the problem the students identified. The control of the electronics is achieved through the MBlock interface, which allows the user to program the Arduino.
