All students are reminded that in order for UCC to send transcripts to out-of-province universities, they must add these schools to their Naviance account.
In many cases, out-of-province applications have a spot for your OUAC reference number. This is the number you were sent by email when you submitted your online Ontario applications. McGill University and the University of British Columbia also require IB students to include their IB personal code on their application. Your IB information can be found in your Naviance account.
If you are planning to apply to McGill and have not already picked up a copy of the UCC instruction manual, please check the version posted on Haiku. There is also a step-by-step guide available at www.mcgill.ca/applying.
Please note if you wish to apply for a major scholarship at McGill, you cannot complete that application until you have submitted your application for admission and received your Minerva number. In addition, all students intending to apply for the major scholarship must notify Ms Berndsen by Monday, January 23 at the latest, as the UCO must send certain information to McGill on your behalf. Failure to meet this deadline may jeopardize your scholarship application. Two letters of reference are also required (be sure to fill out the Scholarship Referee Request Forms).
UBC, Dalhousie, and King’s College (Halifax) require students to self-report courses and grades. Please consult the UCC manuals for UBC or King’s/Dalhousie (posted on the UCO Haiku site) before you attempt the online application; in addition, make sure you leave sufficient time to complete any essays required.
