New year’s resolution: Eat less sugar
Did any of you notice a decrease in your son’s consumption of sugar-containing foods last December? If so, this may be the reason.
Faculty member Matt Verboom, who heads up the Upper School Strength Agility Speed (SAS) centre where boys do their strength training, spoke at assembly about the health risks of a high sugar diet. He really got the boys’ attention with some eye-opening statistics and sage advice on how to improve health by eating less of the white stuff that seems to be everywhere.
Here are some of the slides that Verboom shared with the boys. The information may inspire you to set a new year’s resolution to reduce your consumption of sugar too.
