Message from Tanya Sweeney
Dear Prep families,
Thank you for your ongoing support and collaboration as we continue to work hard each day to offer a safe learning environment on campus and an engaging experience for those learning at home.
We’re pleased and proud to share with you that Prep students are busily engaged in Treaty Recognition Week. It is an opportunity to learn about treaties from diverse Indigenous perspectives and encourage an understanding of the importance of treaties in Ontario.
Please read an informative article by Kathryn O’Brien and Peter Gray. My gratitude to our educators for working very hard to ensure that even during challenging times such as these, we offer robust and thought provoking learning experiences.
Looking towards November 11, the Upper and Prep faculty members responsible for helping us to honour Remembrance Day have worked collaboratively to provide age-appropriate and engaging material. Our thanks also to Prep colleagues who ensure that our signs honouring the sacrifice of UCC Old Boys are on display each year.
Our fall season of co-curricular activities winds up at the November long weekend, and our winter season will soon begin. Thank you to my colleagues for their creative approaches to ensure students have a well-rounded, engaging and safe co-curricular experience.
