Message from Tanya Sweeney

Dear Prep families,

Thank you for your ongoing support and collaboration as we continue to work hard each day to offer a safe learning environment on campus and an engaging online experience for those students learning at home.

After a spell of incredible fall weather, the rains may be arriving soon. As we are making an effort to spend as much time outdoors as possible, and our Norval programming is typically held outdoors in unpleasant but manageable weather, please ensure your child comes to school dressed so that the outdoors can be enjoyed.

Our Assistant Heads, David Girard (Primary) and Gareth Evans (Middle) are working with the faculty to offer a safe and outdoor Halloween experience for our cohorts of younger students. Form Advisers throughout the Prep will ensure fun activities on Friday, October 30. Further information will be provided by our Assistant Heads, but in the meantime please feel welcome to plan a safe and fun costume for your student should they wish to dress up. Students may also wear orange and black in celebration in lieu of a costume if preferred.

We are seeking your feedback on the school experience thus far; please find a survey for Primary families here and the survey for Middle families here

As this shorter week comes to a close, we wish each UCC family continued good health.

Tanya Sweeney
Head of the Preparatory School
