Message from Tanya Sweeney
Dear Prep families,
Thank you for a smooth start to our 20-21 school year!
During these uncertain times, our normal Prep routines and processes are taking longer than usual. The same is true for schooling, either at home or on campus. I have encouraged faculty to take extra time to build relationships, ensure that technology is accessible and make certain that our students, families and colleagues feel safe, healthy and connected. Our faculty are growing accustomed to using cameras and microphones to connect with our learners at home— myself included! Therefore, you may notice a slower start to engaging with the curriculum. Please feel assured that we will get there.
A reminder that our After School Programming (ASP) is only for families who have pre-registered; this is to ensure we have accurate information for contact tracing. Should you be running late to pick up your student, they will remain with their Form Adviser at the designated entry/exit door for 15 minutes after their dismissal time. They will then make their way to the ASP Designated Meeting Spot, indicated by a large yellow sign outdoors on the ‘wood chips area’ near the Parkin building.
Once 15 minutes after your designated dismissal time has passed, our ASP staff will supervise your unregistered student in this outdoor area until you arrive. There will be a charge of $25 to your account for the extended supervision. This new charge to your account began on Monday, September 21.
Pre-registered ASP students’ families are charged $7.50 per half hour or $15 per hour. Pre-registered students will move immediately to the arena lounge for programming.
Here is the link for ASP Weekly Registration.
Lastly, thank you for all of your patience with the traffic disruptions around campus. We will continue to send you short updates daily, which you can simply delete if they do not apply to your family.
