Message from Naheed Bardai, Head, Upper School
It’s been a very non-traditional return-to-school scenario for UCC families. Thank you for your support as we pursue uncharted territory, and for the committed spirit with which you’re approaching our virtual Continuous Learning Plan (CLP).
As we continue to pursue our learning adventure together, you’re encouraged to access the following resources:
First point of contact: Please try to address any questions or concerns you may have first through your son before contacting a teacher. That said, we want to keep all channels of communication open. Please follow these guidelines for contacting the school:
- Course, assignment or resource: Subject teacher or faculty chair
- Wellbeing and social-emotional concerns: Adviser
- Technology concerns: IT Help Desk
- Course selection and post-secondary planning: University Counselling Office
- General issues or concerns: Head of the Upper School
IT Help Desk: Technicians will be available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Health Centre: For general medical enquiries and questions about health, please email email@example.com.
Centre for Learning: Students who experience difficulty shifting to a more independent learning model can reach out to a coordinator for additional tools and strategies at any time during this period.
Kathryn Barnes, Director: firstname.lastname@example.org
Barb Kawasoe, Year 8 and boarding students: email@example.com
Lincoln Smith, Year 9 and 10: firstname.lastname@example.org
Jennifer Ferguson, Year 11 and 12: email@example.com
To access your son’s record of attendance, please visit Bluenet.
Please note that Year 11 families will be receiving updates tomorrow on the Extended Essay (EE) process. For Year 12s, we will be sharing updated IB information tomorrow by email and are planning to host an online information session tomorrow at 3:30.
If you haven’t already, please see our very first online welcome-back assembly here.
