Message from Form 3
As the boys wrap up the year they’re still revving their tachometers high and are consistently engaged in learning. Our Toronto trip is an opportunity for boys to see different parts of the city connect and to learn about the different features required to construct a city. Please take a moment on Monday evening to discuss the trip with your boys. The parents’ concert and Grandparents Day were fantastic successes with incredible performances from the boys of Primary. The Form 3 boys did a wonderful job showing us how musical those frogs and swamp creatures can be.
As the year winds down, we need to highlight two important items. Boys are finished school on Monday, June 8. We’ll be cleaning out lockers on Friday, June 5 and boys should come to school with a bag to take home any extra equipment they’ve gathered in their lockers over the year. There will be no ASP on Monday, June 8. The culminating activity in our fraction/pizza unit will happen next week. It’s likely going to be Wednesday afternoon but we’re awaiting confirmation from our kitchen. A note will come out from our class parents requesting help. If you’ve time to come in and be a “sous chef” it would be appreciated.
It’s been a fantastic year filled with a variety of memories, challenges, successes and failures, all of which have provided learning opportunities. Grade 4 will provide harder challenges, higher expectations, deeper holes to climb out of and higher peaks to yell from. We encourage your boys to be boys this summer and develop their independent character through play with friends and outdoor experiences. We hope they arrive back to school energized and with a full bank of experiences to connect to their learning in the fall.
