The College’s theatre program continues to take centre stage this week with the junior productions of The Magic Fan and 15 Reasons Not To Be In A Play, 7 p.m., BSS Theatre. Please get your tickets and come out and support our performers, support crew and directors. You won’t be disappointed.

The Walk for Homeless Youth (#WHY17) for Year 1 students will take place on Tuesday, March 7 for the entire school day. This is an annual service learning event that helps our boys better understand and temporarily experience the challenges of life on the street for youth in Toronto. Parents of Y1 boys are reminded to return signed permission and waiver forms through their sons. Extra copies are available in the accompanying article on the WHY.

The Y1 Norval trip is scheduled for the week of Monday, April 24 to Friday, April 28. In preparation for this outdoor adventure, there will be communication outlining the week, activities, paperwork, waivers and other important matters. This is a mandatory component in Y1, so please mark your calendars. Look for more information in future editions of Heads Up. Please contact Norval Outdoor School Director Bill Elgie or me if you’ve any questions.

Winter sports teams enter the final weekend of their seasons as they compete for championships. Please check schedule for remaining games and come on out and support the players and their coaches who’ve invested much time and energy into their athletic passions. Go Blues!

College holidays, as noted in the Upper School calendar, are generous. Please be sure your travel plans for all school breaks honour scheduled class time and exams when applicable. Classes end on Friday, March 10 at 3:30 p.m. and resume on Monday, March 27 at 8:30 a.m.

Locker clean-out (both book and house lockers) is an important and mandatory task for all students at the end of each term. Boys are required to remove all possessions from their lockers and take home all belongings. Lockers not cleaned out will be emptied by housekeeping staff and the College won’t be responsible for its contents. Having empty lockers allows housekeeping to clean and sanitize all lockers. This is a health and safety requirement. Please remind your sons to do as asked.

Thanks for reading.
