Winterfest is tomorrow (Friday) and is the biggest athletic event in the winter term. Just about every team will host an opponent with highlight varsity games in basketball and hockey as our marquee events. Please consult the athletics calendar or ask your sons about game times and locations. To keep school spirit strong, the Blue Army generals continue to generate plenty of energy culminating with a pep rally in Laidlaw Hall at 3 p.m. to kick things into high gear. Go Blues!

The annual musical in partnership with BSS runs from Wednesday through Saturday next week. It’s always a fun show which showcases the fabulous talent of the boys and girls at our schools. For more details please read the accompanying piece in Whole School.

Student-led Conferences: The online system for booking SLCs opens next week as well. Year 1 and Year 2 boys are expected to accompany their parents and lead the review of their performance to date. Research has shown this format to have a significantly positive impact on student performance. More details available in today’s Heads Up.

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, Y1 boys will participate in a full day workshop at Branksome Hall called Integrative Thinking (aka iThink) and Y2 boys will attend the World Affairs Conference hosted here at UCC. Details on these mandatory programs will be given to your sons and published in today’s Heads Up.
