Message from Andrew Turner, Director, Residential Life

Andrew Turner photoIt’s been a busy few weeks on the boarding front. Boys have been working hard in the classroom, in the sporting arena, on the stage and in the boarding houses. The student leadership team is working on a new “civic engagement” initiative; the hope is that current and future boarders will continue to give back to their community through participation in new and established community service initiatives.

Hockey, basketball, and swim teams have been very successful in their respective CISAA seasons. The varsity hockey team is in the midst of battling St. Andrew’s College for the league championship; swimmers have also qualified for the provincial OFSAA championship. It was great seeing Jeffrey Collins continue to develop his acting career in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Congratulations to all boys who took part in the Waterloo Math Contest this week and to Kal Shaw and Takoda Kemp who did wonderful work orchestrating several events in celebration of Black History Month.

The boys are anticipating a well-deserved March break!
