Heads Up

Welcome to Heads Up, your one-stop source for news about your son’s upcoming activities and events.

A message from Form 4

Thank you to all the parents who came out for the parent information evening two weeks ago. It was wonderful to meet you all, and we look forward to a fantastic year ahead.

For those of you who were unable to attend, please contact Kathryn O’Brien at ext. 4172 or Paul Faggion at ext. 4044 if you’ve any questions about the Form 4 program.

We had an excellent time with your boys at Norval. The boys were engaged and excited to experience their first Norval sleepover. The program was packed with fun and exciting team-building activities. Both forms have started their first unit of inquiry: “Oh Canada!” Your sons will be exploring the physical geography, history and culture of Canada.

The reading logs have come home for Grade 4. Please encourage your son to read daily. If your son needs suggestions for some fantastic books, please ask him to talk with his friends and visit Ms. Love and Ms. Power in the library. Thank you for your support in signing the weekly reading log.

Please remember to label all your son’s belongings with his name. It makes it a lot easier to get missing items back to their owners. Also, please remember to safely pull over to the right when picking up your son and place your green sign with your son’s name on your dashboard.

Thank you to parents who have been signing your son’s agenda. The agenda is a communication tool that the boys use to record homework and important events. By signing the agenda, you confirm that you’ve seen the homework and are aware of what’s going on at school. Please contact us if you’ve any questions or concerns about homework or school events.

We look forward to seeing everyone again on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Association Day. Information about the day and the events will be included in this week’s Heads Up.
