Heads Up

Welcome to Heads Up, your one-stop source for news about your son’s upcoming activities and events.

Message from Form 4

Several parents expressed an interest in helping to develop their son’s spelling at home. To complement our current spelling program, there are a number of activities that the boys can do with your family or independently to help develop their spelling skills.

Family Games: Word games, such as Boggle and Scrabble, are excellent ways to help develop spelling strategies and skills.

Independent activities: Word searches are a great way to help your son be more mindful of spelling patterns. Crossword puzzles are very good to helping your son increase his vocabulary.

iPad Apps: While we do not encourage extensive screen time or have an expectation that the boys have an iPad or an iPod, there are several iPad or iPod apps that your son can explore to help develop his spelling skills and word knowledge.

*Chicktionary for iPad (Blackdot Inc)
*Letris 4 Word Puzzle Game (Ivanovich Games)
*Scribblenauts Remix (Warner Bros)
*Word Mess (Masala Games)
*Boggle for iPad (Electronic Arts)
*Ultimate Word Search Free- Wordsearch (Ensena Soft)
