Student-led conferences for iDiv boys are the main event for next week. Please be sure to read the accompanying pieces on the format change to parent-teacher interviews for iDiv boys and know that your son is preparing for his conferences. To be clear, each Y1 and Y2 boy is required to lead and participate actively in each subject interview with parents. They’re called student-led conference for exactly this reason and are intended to have each student take an active leadership role in assessing himself as a learner in the presence of his parents and his subject teachers. Research shows that this has a tremendously positive impact on learning.

For next Friday’s Halloween casual dress day, please remind your son that they may not wear masks or facial coverings that will obscure their ability to see or be identified by others. Additionally, costumes should be in good taste and not offensive. When done well, this is one of the best casual dress days of the year and obviously will be a lot of fun too.

Sports teams continue to work hard and battle in their efforts to qualify for league playoffs and possible championships. Coaches and players love to have support at games so please get out and support them as often as you can.

Thanks for reading.
