Monday, March 23: Principal’s assembly, 8:30 a.m., Laidlaw Hall; warm weather dress; classes resume

Locker clean out is the last important task required of every boy in the school. All boys are required to completely empty the contents of their house locker and in the case of Y1 boys, their iDiv hallway book lockers. This will enable housekeeping to clean and sanitize all lockers thoroughly. Please remind your sons to complete this task.

The Year 1 Norval trip is scheduled for the week of April 27 to May 1. In preparation for this outdoor adventure, there’ll be communication outlining the week, the activities, paperwork, waivers and other very important matters. This is a mandatory component in Year 1 so please mark your calendars now and see the article in this issue of Heads Up. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Brent Evans, acting director of Norval Outdoor School, or me.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 6 is the final day of the term and classes end at 3:30 p.m. Since College holidays are already generous, we ask that parents not take their sons out of classes early to extend their vacation. The end of the winter term also marks the end of regular school dress and first dress for Principal’s assemblies. Starting on Monday, March 23, warm weather dress returns as the standard. However, boys may choose to wear regular dress or first dress at any time. Note that there may still be days when first dress is required for special events so please don’t put them away just yet.

Whether your March Break takes you away from Toronto or you spend it here, please have a fun, safe and restful holiday.

Thanks for reading.
