Happy Lunar New Year

The Chinese New Year of 2021 will fall on Friday, February 12th and it is a Year of the Ox according to the Chinese zodiac calendar. As the second animal of the Chinese zodiac, the ox denotes the hard work, positivity, calmness and patience that will be manifested in all of us in the coming 12 months! May this New Year bring in your life warmth, love, happiness and health. Click here to learn some fun facts about Chinese New Year traditions.

UCC’s dedicated volunteers worked on creating a poster spelling out “” (blessing) with 110 photos provided by UCC’s Chinese families who are delighted to send their blessings to the entire UCC community. The Happy Chinese New Year poster was designed with UCC’s landmark clock tower decorated with Chinese lanterns.
Please enjoy this video of good wishes from UCC boys, including a brief clip of last year’s celebrations at school, and a traditional New Year Song.

A special thank you to Lucas Chen ’24 “福”, Yunkai Shi ’25 (poster) and Jerry Jia ’24 and Alan Yu ’25 (video).
