Grad ring sales and fittings on Oct. 20 and 21
What are grad rings?
It’s been a longstanding tradition at the College that men’s signet rings with the UCC crest are made available to IB2 boys and their families. The purchase of these rings is entirely at your discretion and is in no way mandatory. Rings are available in a variety of styles and prices, as illustrated in the flyer in the download above. Cufflinks are also available.
Only boys in IB2 are allowed to purchase a graduation ring. They’re not sold to boys until their IB2 year. However, cufflinks are available to all.
Where and when are they sold?
Grad rings for the class of 2017 will be sold on Thursday, Oct. 20 and Friday, Oct. 21 in the Upper School’s Bernick Family Foyer. James Hodge, a representative from supplier First Recognition, will be at the College to measure your son’s ring size and take his order.
Students must have a credit card or cheque to place an order.
If he orders a ring when will he receive it?
Rings ordered on Oct. 20 and 21 will be available for pick-up before the Christmas break. A specific date for those pick-ups will be determined later in the fall.
What are UCC graduation frames and where and when are they sold?
UCC graduation frames are made available as part of the inventory of UCC-crested frames available to all members of the UCC community. At the leaving class ceremony in May, IB2 boys will receive a UCC diploma, an IB certificate, an Ontario Secondary School diploma and a class photo. Specially sized UCC frames can be ordered to protect and display these. Furthermore, frames are also available in a variety of styles and sizes to display the boys’ individual graduation photos.
These frames are available throughout the year and we would be happy to process your order at your convenience. Purchase of these frames is entirely at your discretion. For your convenience, please order online here. Full payment is required to place an order.
If you have any questions regarding rings and frames, please contact Perry Lupyrypa or Scott Enman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
