Fundraiser | Help cancer programs via UCC’s Relay for Life
Relay for Life, a cancer research fundraising event run in coordination with the Canadian Cancer Society, will be hosted virtually at UCC for the Upper School on May 14. Relay Day aims to increase awareness of the impact of cancer, provide community support, and raise funds to increase the number and quality of cancer support programs that are so desperately needed right now.
Our goal is $60,000 dollars and COVID-19 has limited the way we can raise funds, so patients across Canada need your support now more than ever. You can make a tax-deductible donation by visiting the UCC RFL donation page.
Your donations will go to programs such as the following:
- Camp Goodtimes, a camp for childhood cancer survivors that is going virtual for families to be connected in the community and have engaging activities to do at home
- Cancerconnection.ca, an online community for cancer patients and family members to connect with one another about various topics
- Travel reimbursement for cancer patients so they can get to and from their cancer-related appointments
- Cancer research, which has been slowed down due to the overwhelming resources being transferred for vaccine development.
Thanks for your continued support,
