Form SK: Message from the French teacher
Dear SK parent(s),
My name is Guillaume Dupré and I’m delighted to be your son’s French teacher. I’d like to provide you with information about the SK French program this year. The goal is to foster a positive attitude towards French language instruction and to meet students’ needs and learning styles by providing an open, dynamic, energetic and balanced program.
The SK French program is an introduction to basic vocabulary and to the spoken language. The students are immersed in a French environment and are engaged in the language through a variety of activities that include songs, dance, stories, games, videos and computers. They’re encouraged to interact as a group to help instill a comfort and confidence with the language and ultimately to foster a sense of success, accomplishment and positive attitude towards learning a second language.
In order to do well in French, your son is encouraged to:
– Participate actively and only speak French in class
– Work cooperatively in small groups
– Enthusiastically participate in songs and games
I’m available for parents or students on day 1, day 2 and day 3 from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. My office is located on the left of the conference room (Parkin Building). Parents are welcome to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or to call me at 416-‐488-‐1125, ext 4017. I look forward to a fun and rewarding year with your son.
