Social debate with Branksome students
Some Form 6 and 7 students teamed up with their counterparts from Branksome Hall for a social debate at the Prep on Monday, Feb. 23. They worked hard, over pizza and pop, in preparation for the impromptu topic. “To lower the voting age to 13.” The students debated enthusiastically before receiving helpful guidance and tidbits from the judges to further improve their skills.
Thank you to Tina Jagdeo for organizing this event and to all the teachers and parents who helped with the judging. We’re now looking forward to the next round of Colour House debating tomoorw, Friday, Feb. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in Weston Hall. The topic is, “Be it resolved that digital devices negatively impact our relationships with family and friends.”
