May 8 would have been the day for the Year 5 students to share their PYP Exhibition learning and action with the community. However, due to our current circumstances, modifications have been made to the Exhibition process to account for pacing, to manage student progress, and to be mindful of balance and student and family well-being in our e-learning environment.
With the view to honouring the students’ work, providing a culminating experience in the Primary Years Programme, and celebrating the transition from the PYP to the MYP, we will be celebrating student work of the PYP Exhibition. We will be using a blended, synchronous and asynchronous model, during the week of June 1. Details for the “live” aspects will be shared in the weeks ahead.
Action, which has typically been a large focus in the PYP Exhibition, will be demonstrated through “teaching others”. Boys will create a slideshow, collaborative website and “pitch”. In addition their Artivism project is sure to teach others and provoke action. Please find the revised calendar, linked here to provide you some information about how your son will progress through the next few weeks.
As always, your son’s Form Adviser will provide the support and scaffolding for student success.
If you have specific questions regarding the PYP Exhibition, please feel free to reach out.
