Event | The future of health care in North America
With the backdrop of the global pandemic, all eyes are on the medical industry. But even before COVID-19, the healthcare sector has been in the midst of a dramatic shift driven by innovations in technology like artificial intelligence, changes in public policy and politics, demographic shifts in society, and trends toward greater digitization and personalized treatments that create new opportunities for care while raising fresh ethical, practical and philosophical questions for the sector.
UCC’s Common Ties Alumni Network presents an expert discussion on the future of healthcare in North America. Moderated by journalist Akash Pasricha ’13, and featuring Dr. Myles Druckman ’82, John Yip ’91 and Dr. Drew Taylor ’01, this session will cover topics related to the lasting impact of COVID-19 and innovations in medicine and patient care, offering insight into what may be next for Canada and the U.S. The event includes a discussion period, followed by a Q&A with the speakers.
