Donate your boys’ suits for student’s charity
My name is Harry Griffith. I’m in Year 11 and have been at the College since Year 4. I’ve established a charity which provides suits for boys who aren’t as fortunate as we are here at UCC. Most students will have suits from religious ceremonies, weddings or semi-formals that no longer fit. It doesn’t matter how small the suit is; all donations are appreciated. The collected suits will be donated to New Circles, an organization which was founded in 2005 and supports families in the Toronto area with programs including skills training and social programs. They also operate GLOW, their clothing program, which provides free clothing to families with limited financial resources. I’ll be outside the Prep on Monday, May 6 and Thursday, May 9, and outside the Upper School on Tuesday, May 7 and Friday, May 10, from 8-8:25 a.m. collecting suits. As well, there will be coat racks at both the Upper and Prep schools throughout week.
Please remember to bring out suits that no longer fit. It will help make a huge difference for a boy and his family.
