Boarder performs at Council of 1829 reception
There are many opportunities for UCC boarders to contribute to weekly events on campus. Will Labasi-Sammartino from Montreal was invited to play the piano during the annual Council of 1829 reception in the student centre on Sept. 10. This event, hosted by the advancement team, recognizes current families or alumni that make a significant contribution to the capital campaign over the course of the calendar year. The UCC boarding community has been a direct beneficiary of donations that occurred during the last school year.
Will’s contribution to the event allowed many UCC families and Old Boys the opportunity to witness the contribution our boarders make to school life. Several boarding alumni at the reception commented on Will’s musical talent and his willingness to participate in the evening event while juggling academic demands and several co-curricular activities.
