Heads Up

Welcome to Heads Up, your one-stop source for news about your son’s upcoming activities and events.

Bullying Awareness Week starts Nov. 17

Bullying Awareness Week is an opportunity for people at the grassroots level in communities around the world to get involved in this issue, not by waiting for “someone else” to do something but to work together to prevent bullying in our communities through education and awareness. At the Prep, our focus will be on being kind to yourself and others, standing up for yourself and standing up for others.

As part of the week, we’ll have the following activities: assemblies with a focus on empathy; daily dilemmas on the announcements (to be discussed as a form); a positive Post-It note station; a lunchtime mixer; and a writing contest on the theme of “Be Yourself.”

If you are interested in parenting resources around the issue of bullying or if you have any questions, please contact either Jill Stewart or Martha Boyce.
