The boarding community collaborated with the Bishop Strachan School (BSS) to organize a community charity carwash in support of the Red Cross on Sunday, May 24. The boys were very industrious between noon and 3 p.m.; a steady stream of cars filed up the driveway to be washed. In the end the boys raised $475 for a very worthy cause.

All boys in Seaton’s and Wedd’s are to be congratulated for working together on a wonderful project, for raising needed money for a great cause, and for community building in the neighbourhood. It was fun watching boys strike up great conversations with the neighbours; I was particularly impressed with the way Can Hepkarabelli engaged an Old Boy in a wonderful conversation about the College today and about the shine Can had just put on his black mustang.

With good weather and an equally eager group of students, the boys are hoping to enjoy the same success raising money at another carwash in September.
