Boarders play major support role for Terry Fox Run
The annual Terry Fox Run is always an important date on the weekend program calendar for boarders. Participation by Seaton’s and Wedd’s students begins far before race day. UCC boarders distributed 3,000 flyers door to door in the week prior to the event. UCC boarders helped build the infrastructure that allows for good fun on the UCC grounds on race day this past Sunday, Sept. 18. Boarders also helped man water stations at strategic spots on the 5 km and 10 km race routes. Varsity hockey team players were noticeable in their traditional role supporting the amusement park that helps create memories for children not old enough to run or cycle. It was great to see the boarders out running, walking or cycling for Terry Fox cancer research.
