Boarders make the principal’s list
The boarding community is proud of every student able to manage a challenging academic program while balancing two co-curricular activities and also learning to live away from home, in a community of learners from all corners of the world. All boarders (especially new boys) should give themselves a pat on the back for persevering through academic challenges, demonstrating resiliency by trying out for a new team after being cut from their first choice, and a special congratulations to every boy who’s learned to live co-operatively with a roommate – a level of skill development that will assist transition to university.
Having said all that, Monday assembly provided an opportunity to recognize special academic achievement in the first four months of the school year. Several boarders achieved results that placed them in the top 10 per cent of their grade. Congratulations to the following boarders who’ve earned grades that have made them eligible for the Principal’s List: Jay Kim, Billy Shi, Brandon Li, Vladimir Chindea, Chris Connors and Max Huang.
