Battle of the Blues

The Battle of the Blues featured our varsity football team vs. St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto’s varsity stadium. However, there were more interesting components to the event that did not involve the varsity athletes.

The junior varsity football team also played St. Michael’s College. Although UCC did not come out on the winning end of this game, their performance was very strong. The final score ended up 37-22, and featured some very strong play in the second half. The photo included in this section features many UCC boarders, many of whom had never played football before the beginning of this season.

The game also featured an entertaining halftime show. Year 9 boarder Ayomide Maxwell performed as part of a band alongside residential assistant Jon Heffernan. Ayomide and Mr. Heffernan both have much to be proud of; it was a wonderful performance in front of many appreciative football fans from UCC and St. Mike’s.
