Art lovers get ready for Nuit Bleue on April 14
The festivities start at 3 p.m. with a bang as a special concert kicks off the event. Then the magic begins.
Walking down the hallways, you’ll find a school transformed into an art gallery full of masterpieces, and classrooms into intimate cinemas screening captivating films. You’ll experience engaging theatrical performances, jaw-dropping stage fights and an illuminating, blue lighting display.
But that’s not all. Pull up a seat at Noche Azul, the Spanish café, and enjoy coffee and a Spanish snack while being serenaded by a flamenco guitarist. What a way to celebrate the language arts! Back again this year is The Blue Caller publication, a collection of some of the boys’ best literary works. Pick up a copy and immerse yourself in the magic of their words. In addition, Bleue Zone returns this year as a popular student lounge with awesome activities, food and a live DJ.
The evening will culminate with an incredible music concert featuring all Upper School music ensembles. The senior jazz band will close the evening with a performance you won’t want to miss.
New culinary treats will be available to try and Greg’s Ice Cream has been generously donated for all to enjoy. And don’t miss your chance to win an incredible door prize just for being there.
Nuit Bleue celebrates all that’s wonderful about UCC arts on one special night. It gives the community the chance to be a part of UCC’s wonderfully vibrant and diverse arts program. It also gives students the opportunity to showcase their work and bask in the light of appreciation.
