Message from Year 5 Community Service Leaders

The Year 5 Community Service Leaders are hosting a drive for the Toronto Humane Society. It is the mission of The Toronto Humane Society to promote the humane care and protection of all animals and to prevent cruelty and suffering. Following no-kill principles, the Toronto Humane Society aspires to be a best-in-class animal shelter – working in partnership with the community to find creative solutions and improve outcomes for all animals.

We would like SK to Year 7 to donate towels, sheets, blankets, dog food/cat food (wet or dry), dog or cat toys, and harnesses or leashes. We would greatly appreciate it if you do not bring any duvets or pillows because they would get chewed by the animals. We encourage all Prep School students to participate. To motivate them, we will run a Colour House Challenge amongst the six colour houses. The prize will be 1,000 points awarded to the house that brings in the most food and toys. Please drop your toys and food into your colour house bin in the Bitove Lounge from December 3 to December 7. Thank you for your help. Let’s join to remember the animals and the Toronto Humane Society this holiday season.
