4O Book Drive for ReadUp!

Do you have any old Big Nate books at home? What about Diary of the Wimpy Kid novels? Graphic novels gathering dust? Comic books creating clutter? We can help you clean out your book shelf.

The 4O students are organizing a book drive for the charity, Read-Up, where volunteers go to inner-city schools and shelters to read with kids. Many of these kids can’t afford to buy books to read. So students in 4O want to donate books for this program and we hope you will too.

We are looking for books for kids in Year 4, 5 and 6. They like to read Diary of the Wimpy Kid, Big Nate,  Amulet, Bone, Dogman, Babysitters Club, graphic novels and non-fiction books filled with pictures (ex. Guinness Book, Who was… books, top-10 books), French books, comic books and popular reads. We are not looking for picture books. The donation of your gently used books would be greatly appreciated. Please drop off your books before the end of April. You will find the drop-off basket at the front door of 4O.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and kind support of this very worthy cause.

Rayka Farahmand, Form 4O
